The Town of Estes Park currently has an opening for a full-time position in its Public Works Department that will focus on pavement management. This position manages approximately $1.5M annually for road repair & renovation projects and $0.35M annually for the construction and expansion of public trails. The incumbent will implement a cost-effective pavement management program for the Town's roadway system that utilizes a Pavement Condition Index database to guide selection of pavement rehabilitation strategies and generate projects to complete a 10-year Street Improvement Program. Duties include oversight of the inventory collection of pavement distress data, sidewalk condition, and drainage condition information for each street. Ability to implement traffic software to incorporate the street inventory condition data into the Town's Geographic Information System is desirable. This position will be filled at either the CE I or CE II level. A BS degree in civil engineering or a related field is required. One year of experience in civil engineering is required. Five years of work experience in pavement management is desired. An equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be considered. The hiring salary range for this position is $2,083 to $2,552 (CE I) or $2,567 to $3,145 (CE II) per bi-weekly pay period, depending on qualifications and experience.
