Traffic Investigator It is an exciting time to work for Snohomish County Public Works! We are growing and looking for dedicated and collaborative individuals to join our team of valued employees. We are hiring a Traffic Investigator to join our Transportation and Environmental Services Traffic Operations team. The Traffic Investigator will process and investigate citizens' concerns regarding traffic issues on Snohomish County's 1,600+ miles of roadway. If you have a talent for analyzing data and can conduct and document field investigations, this may be a great career opportunity for you. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills, will demonstrate the ability to work well with staff and stakeholders with a variety of backgrounds, and will be able to positively contribute to the Traffic Operations team as well as the other divisions in Public Works. You will be required to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and evenings, as needed. The Transportation and Environmental Services division is responsible for operations, safety and mobility of Snohomish County's roads, operating and maintaining traffic signal systems for the County and several other local agencies, and providing traffic engineering support for projects and developments within the County. Other divisional responsibilities include planning and prioritizing County road activities, performing environmental reviews of projects and keeping the public informed of Public Works' projects.
