THE POSITION The City of Reno has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly experienced professional who possesses strong leadership, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to fill the position of Engineering Manager. This individual will be responsible for managing, supervising, directing and coordinating assigned activities and operations within the Engineering Division of the Community Development Department including land development enginerering activities; coordinating assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the general public; ensuring adherence to adopted engineering standards, rules, regulations, and specifications; and serving as a technical resource for assigned work staff while also interacting and coordianting with the City Engineer; and will be responsible for providing assistance to the Director of Community Development. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The City of Reno is offering an excellent salary and benefit package. The annual salary range is $108,305.60 - $131,644.00. Health benefits include 100% employer-paid medical, dental and vision for the employee and 55% employer-paid for eligible dependents. Other benefits include a generous vacation and sick leave accrual from day one, up to a 5% deferred comp plan match and employer-paid participation in Nevada’s Public Employee Retirement System (PERS).
