CITY OF KEWAUNEE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR The City of Kewaunee, Wisconsin (population 2,952), is currently accepting applications for the full time position of Public Works Director. This is a key management position reporting to the City Administrator, responsible for the administrative, supervisory, and technical duties of the Public Works Department, City Marina and Campground. The ideal candidate will have experience with municipal water and wastewater systems, street construction and maintenance, supervision, and strong project management skills. The Director shall plan, organize, implement and supervise activities related to the water system, sanitary sewer system, streets, parks, cemetery, storm water system, public buildings and grounds maintenance, and the marina/campground. The Director oversees operations in accordance with the established policies, procedures and ordinances of the City of Kewaunee and upholds all the appropriate state & federal laws and regulations. Exercises supervision over all public works and marina/campground personnel and also oversees outside contractors and engineers hired for any contracts. A high school diploma and five years of successful previous supervisory/management experience performing in a public infrastructure work is required. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or closely related field as well as several years of municipal public works experience in a leadership capacity. A 6 month probationary period is mandatory. Salary will be determined based upon qualifications with a minimum starting salary of $59,342.
