The Snohomish County Department of Public Works is responsible for building and maintaining a safe and efficient transportation system. The Construction Engineering group within the County's Engineering Services Division is seeking to fill an Engineering Technician V - Construction position to help us deliver the County's diverse infrastructure construction program. This position in the Construction Engineering team is responsible for providing inspection and construction engineering support for a wide range of public works projects. The Construction group is a vital part of the larger Public Works team that works together to enhance and improve our community. This position will work in an exciting, dynamic environment and will be essential to meeting the goals of the agency. We are currently looking to fill one (1) full time position. An Eligibility Register will also be created to fill future vacancies in Engineering Services (ES). The Eligibility Register will be active for six (6) months. Well qualified candidates will have varied experience in road and bridge construction projects, will excel at construction management and communication, will understand the importance and principals of accurate construction documentation, be familiar with the acceptance and field testing of materials, and will have a working knowledge of the WSDOT Standard Specifications.
