The City of Olathe Public Works Department is actively seeking a Utility Coordinator (CEII) to coordinate with City staff, design engineers and utility company representatives to minimize construction delays due to utility conflicts for the City Projects. Provide oversight of contractor operations and identify potential utility conflicts that may cause project delays. Effectively resolve utility relocation issues as they arise. Experience and Education Guidelines Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
Experience: 2 to 5 years of construction inspection, utility coordination or project management experience. Education: High school diploma required. College level coursework in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred. License or Certification: Must have a valid driver's license. Supplemental Information:
Must successfully pass a supplemental background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.
