Clackamas County is currently looking to add a Traffic Signal Electrician, Lead to their team. This position is located in the Traffic Control Section of the Department of Transportation and Development and is responsible for the construction, maintenance and placement of traffic control devices on County roads. This Section performs activities involved in the design, layout, construction, installation and maintenance of all traffic control devices including traffic signs, traffic signals, traffic control lines and symbols, pavement marking and channelization. The Traffic Signal Electrician, Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the installation of electrical systems, fixtures and equipment. Most assignments involve traffic control signals and street lighting systems, however, the incumbent is also responsible for County facility projects the electrical system of the Canby Ferry and other electrical systems as required. The incumbent will also design and install electrical circuitry and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Journeyman-Level Electrician with a background in Traffic Signal maintenance and repair. This individual will also lead the work of a three to four person team so someone with previous lead work experience or someone looking to grow in their career is ideal. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to multi-task and stay actively involved in multiple County and local agency traffic signal and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) related projects.
