The Streets Maintenance Superintendent leads the Streets division under the general supervision of the Assistant Public Works Director. It exercises full supervision of employees in the division as well as seasonal temporary staff. The position oversees the maintenance of City street rights-of-way, street surfaces, traffic signs and pavement markings, curbs and gutters, sidewalks, storm drain system, street sweeping and removal of vision hazards. The superintendent participates in the preparation and monitoring of the operating budget for the division. The position also monitors compliance with TMDL's and files reports with regulating agencies. The superintendent will assign work orders through Asset Management software to systematically maintain the storm drain system, ensuring compliance with DEQ permits.
