Opportunity in sunny central Washington! The City of Yakima Transit Division needs a Project Planner to perform professional and technical transit planning work focusing on both short and long range planning, facilities planning, assist in budget planning and special project planning. The Transit Project Planner is responsible for grant functions including grant application, project management, and compliance documents, and other projects assigned by the Transit Manager. Minimum Class Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university, with major course work in transportation planning, urban planning, geography, civil engineering, or related field. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in planning and analysis. Transportation planning experience is preferred. Experience as a project manager (lead role) in a planning project or program is desired. A Master's degree may substitute for two (2) years' experience.
