Johnson County Wastewater, located in Johnson County Kansas, is seeking applicants for Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance. The Assistant Director oversees and manages the operations and maintenance functions at the department's six treatment facilities. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Operations and Maintenance and will oversee a total of 80 direct and indirect reports. The individual will provide participative leadership within Johnson County to support the tenets of a High Performing Organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or another related field and seven years of advanced secondary wastewater treatment and/or collections experience. Three years of supervisory or management experience is also required along with two years of experience with budget development, monitoring, and/or management. A valid driver's license and good driving record are also required. A Kansas Class 4 Operator's certificate is required within 12 months of hire. Experience may be substituted for education.
