Responsibility for the management and oversight of consultant design services of water, sewer and drainage facilities including all construction inspections and construction contract administration activities related directly to water and sewer infrastructure improvements for the Water & Sewer Services Division of the Public Works Department. Coordinates with the Operations and Maintenance staff to develop and implement the Capital Improvement Plan and make revisions as priorities and changes are needed. The position may also be assigned responsibilities for assuming day to day management of the maintenance and operations work groups in the absence of the Utility Services Manager. This is a single position classification. It is not part of a series. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of three years of experience administrering municipal engineering projects, including a minimum of one year of supervisory experience. Requires a current Professional Engineer's license in the State of Washington or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
