The City of Irvine seeks a knowledgeable Manager of Facilities Maintenance to manage, direct, plan and organize a variety of programs and/or maintenance and rehabilitation functions in the Facilities Maintenance Division. This position will supervise professional, technical and clerical staff in program administration; and provide highly responsible staff assistance to the Director and Deputy Director of Public Works. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in budget and contract management as well as public facilities maintenance. He or she will possess strong leadership and communication skills, and will be able to present or prepare information for elected officials, commissions, boards, or the public. The ideal candidate will be highly innovative and strategically manage operations to improve processes for the Public Works Department. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field with six years of increasingly responsible public works program administration experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license.
