The City of Ames' Public Works department is seeking applications for the position of Civil Engineer II. This licensed professional engineer will be part of a team responsible for managing public infrastructure projects from concept/design through construction; working with contractors and staff on public works-related topics; responding to general and/or project-specific inquiries from customers; performing engineering and GIS-related analysis, graphics and mapping. The Civil Engineer II will also be responsible for mentoring, supervising and training Engineering personnel.
Some projects to be a part of include those in the 2017-2022 Capital Improvements Plan (http://www.cityofames.org/government/departments-divisions-a-h/finance) under Public Works Utilities (Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Water) and Transportation (Street Engineering and Shared Use Path).
